Tucked away down a few hundred yards from Alice Holt Visitor Centre on the edge of Dockenfield Common, this family-oriented country pub has recently re-opened. It's been a pub for goodness knows how long, but for many years lay closed up. There's a story behind that which doubtless you'll hear about if you drop in.

Recently Alex Neil and Alex Jnr, an energetic father-and-son team have taken over the pub, re-fitted the place inside and out and are now running a thriving establishment popular with locals, walkers, cyclists and those visiting Alice Holt for a family day out.

There's a snug bar with fireside sofas where you can wait for a table or just enjoy a drink. There's a friendly bar area with plenty of seating and additionally a dedicated restaurant area. The large beer garden includes a safe children's play area.

All food is home made and freshly prepared to order and includes great value bar snacks , daily specials , a kids' menu and a la carte dining in the restaurant on Friday nights

An excellent selection of wines and local real ales including Tongham T.E.A and their very own Blue Bell Bitter, a highly recommended refresher!
